With an emphasis on contemporary sociopolitical and cultural issues, this
program utilizes art to stimulate community interaction, cooperation, and
evolution. Featuring individual and group exhibits and performance art,
TRASA urban arts collective focuses on provocative, interdisciplinary installation
and presents challenging performance to intimate audiences. Our distinctive
exhibition and performance space allows for experimentation and collaboration

The Artist-in-Residence program supports visual and performing artists in
the creation and exhibition of innovative new work. TRASA offers workspace,
access to equipment and technical assistance, exhibition opportunities,
and funding for the realization of ambitious projects. This program establishes
a vital channel of interaction between the Salt Lake community and cutting-edge
artists from around the continent through artist-led discussions, workshops,

Working in collaboration with professional designers and architects, emerging
designers gain invaluable experience, exposure, and freedom to develop their
own vision. Our Designers-in-Residence hone their skills on a wide range
of projects including publicity, installation, set and lighting design,
as well as the interior, architectural, and landscape design of our continuously

The Internship Program offers a variety of possibilities for those interested
in working in multidisciplinary arts administration. We view our Internship
Program as an extension of our educational outreach services which help
to expand and diversify community interaction. Our programming provides
invaluable exposure for all of our interns through hands-on immersion in

The Project Support Program is designed to support emerging artists and
organizations by providing administrative and technical assistance, and
opening important avenues of fundraising that are otherwise unavailable.
This program allows sponsored projects to solicit tax-deductible contributions,
and secure funding from government, foundation, or corporate sources that
give only to non-profit organizations with IRS tax-exempt status. (details)
