Internship ProgramTRASA urban arts collective’s Internship Program offers a variety of possibilities for those interested in working at a cutting edge arts organization. Our diverse, multi-disciplinary programming provides invaluable exposure for all of its interns. We provide thorough orientation, training, evaluation and recognition of our interns. We view our Internship Program as an extension of our educational outreach services which help to expand and diversify community interaction. Because we are a small organization, interns will have the chance to learn through direct contact with the Executive Director, programming staff, artists and curators. All internships are unpaid and require a minimum of six hours per week and a six-month commitment. Shorter summer internships are also available. For initial contact please submit a cover letter expressing your interest and personal resume. We are looking for those with a good attitude who are hardworking, energetic, and responsible. We are currently seeking interns to fill the following positions: Outreach Assistant – press releases, mailing list maintenance, mailings, flyer/poster distribution. Installation Assistant – building sets, installation, strike, gallery-sitting, box office, janitorial. Administrative Assistant – public outreach, grant-writing, volunteer coordination, miscellaneous administration. Designer-in-Residence – potential to assist with a wide range of projects including publicity, installation, set, lighting, and web design, as well as the interior, architectural and landscape design of our continuously evolving facility. Expected commitments are negotiable and internships can be catered to fit individual talents and interests. Most colleges offer credit for internships—ask your advisor.
