TRASA urban arts collective's Artist-in-Residence Program presents:

Brittany Reese Dance/Active Arts

TRASA urban arts collective is proud to present a new artist residency with Brittany Reese Dance/Active Arts. In 2007/08, Brittany Reese Dance/Active Arts, in collaboration with the Neta Dance Company and the Pickle Company, will present Audience and Artists Excel through Exchange, a series of performances and workshops dedicated to the exchange of thoughts, opinions and ideas between audiences and artists. Consisting of both master classes and performances by internationally-acclaimed choreographers, this series is designed to further the development of contemporary performance work in Utah.

Brittany Reese is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Since graduating, she has performed with a variety of companies in Taiwan, Brazil, Poland, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and Hawaii, and taught and choreographed throughout the United States. Her most recent teaching engagements were in Minsk, Belarus, and assisting choreographer Neta Pulvermacher at the Alvin Ailey Summer Dance Program. Her choreography has most recently been shown at Danspace Project, NY and the Trisha Brown Studios, NY. Reese has also choreographed for fashion shows including Avirex, Fila, and NikeTeam, and was 6-year Artist-in-Residence at the Middle Collegiate Church in New York City, which brings in community artists for monthly performances.
