TRASA's Visual and Performance Art Program presents:

Crash Work and Meta-Images
video installations by Brenda Wattleworth, Matt Riley,
and Ben Howell

February 16 – March 6, 2007
at the Pickle Company
741 S. 400 W. SLC, UT 84101

TRASA urban arts collective presents new video installations by three University of Utah graduates, curated by Kenny Riches of Kayo Gallery.

Brenda Wattleworth’s Maenads draws from history, myth, and childhood experiences to present a deeply personal exploration of “civilized” and “uncivilized” behavior.

Matt Riley’s mixed-media installation work examines nostalgia, danger, mortality, and experiences of inner and outer self.

Ben Howell will present Perimeter, a redefining of physical space where bounded becomes boundless, and the illusion of space appears to continue indefinitely.

With an emphasis on contemporary sociopolitical and cultural issues, TRASA urban arts collective’s Visual and Performance Art Program utilizes art to stimulate community interaction, cooperation, and evolution. Featuring individual and group exhibits and performance art, TRASA focuses on provocative, interdisciplinary installation and presents challenging performance to intimate audiences. Our distinctive exhibition and performance space allows for experimentation and collaboration between artists and directors working in all mediums.
