"I hear a story in the air, a myth we are unveiling: a myth of our selves, a myth of our unity, of how we are woven."

A collaboration between Jenni Lord, Allison Baar, Sherri Pauli, and Möey Nelson, We Are Woven offers a deeply personal look into beauty, nostalgia, and self-discovery.

The first of six exhibits presented by Guest Curator Kenny Riches of Kayo Gallery, We Are Woven presents four artists at the threshold of womanhood. Unearthing childhood scars, regaining strength in softness, and uncovering new identities, this mixed-media installation reveals a coming-of-age reconnection to hidden threads of sisterhood and humanity.

Kenny Riches will present monthly exhibits at the Pickle Company between November and May.

During Kayo’s two years of operation, Kenny’s curatorial style was hailed as “brilliant and well-executed” (15 Bytes Magazine), earning him awards such as Best D.I.Y. Gallery (City Weekly, 2005), and Best Big-City Gallery in a Small Town (City Weekly, 2006).

“Supporting young, emerging artists is a challenge for galleries, but it’s a vital part of any thriving art community,” said Kristina Robb, TRASA urban arts collective's Executive Director. “Salt Lake suffered a great loss with the recent closing of both the Unknown and Kayo Galleries. We believe that Kenny’s presence at the Pickle Company will help fill that gap.”
